Penryn Primary Academy is a member of Aspire Multi Academy Trust. The Aspire Academy Trust is a multi-academy trust comprising 36 primary academies, and 20 nurseries, across Cornwall.

We are looking to appoint two teachers for our Area Resource Base which caters for thirteen children (aged from 4-11) with severe and complex learning needs including ASD, speech and language difficulties, physical disabilities and global development delay. This is due to the expansion of our outstanding provision.
The ARB is an integral part of our two-form entry school and sits in the heart of our junior site. Our children integrate into mainstream where appropriate.
The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the teaching and learning within the ARB on a day to day basis, as well as managing and developing the highly skilled support team, which consists of two HLTAs and several Teaching Assistants. The post will suit a teacher experienced in teaching children with complex learning needs, and who is able to maintain positive and warm relationships with children in challenging situations. The successful applicant will be highly organised and motivated to make a difference to the life chances of some of our most vulnerable children. They will be an effective team leader, eager and willing to play an active role in the life of our school. As part of the recruitment process, where possible, we hope to visit potential candidates in their current settings. We also welcome and encourage visits to our school and phone calls to discuss the role further.
The positions are 1.0FTE and permanent.
