Nansloe over the Moon
What an out-of-this-world last day of term for the children and staff at Nansloe Academy! Children from Y2 and Y5 were involved in the making of history as they welcomed a BBC News crew to Nansloe on Thursday 2nd April to cover the launch of Artemis II and the role Cornwall (namely Goonhilly) was playing in the mission.

Y5 watched the rocket launch and a number of pupils were interviewed about their recent topic work on the Moon and space. Year 5 even got to demonstrate their homemade vinegar and bicarb powered rockets for the camera on the playground, to dramatic (and occasionally less dramatic) effects!

Nansloe was featured that evening on both the Six O'Clock and Nine O'Clock main news, plus BBC Radio 5 Live interview with Nansloe Acting Head Sarah Cooper, and the news story again featured on Saturday's BBC Newsround! Unfortunately they are no longer available to watch but the children were so professional and proved an absolute credit to their school.
