For the second year, Aspire Academy Trust was exhibiting at the Royal Cornwall Show and it proved elemental!

Despite the weather's best efforts (we won't dwell on Saturday's monsoon conditions and ensuing mud bath in the car parks!), we had three days of fantastic community engagement.

The show provided further proof that a passing conversation can sometimes translate into great opportunity - curriculum enrichment free workshops uncovered, further sustainability ideas to consider, potential governance volunteers to connect with, fabulous Cornish organisations to explore, and all the while championing the outstanding teaching and learning provision our nurseries and academies can offer potential families.  

Last year the sustainable giveaway was Jack and the Beanstalk's magic bean, this year it was all about the giant sunflower. Every child received a seed and an activity sheet and there was some serious commitment to colouring on display throughout the show. 

Of course, it's not just about the ‘sales pitch’.  It's also about being visible to our existing stakeholders - particularly our pupils, parents, staff, hub councillors and trustees, many of whom stopped by for a chat.  Events such as these are demonstrative of Aspire teamwork at its very best.
