Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Truro Learning Academy

Our dedicated staff have the highest aspirations for all our children and are committed, in partnership with you, to nurturing and developing children’s learning. Each child is valued for their own talents, strengths and personality and we encourage the children to succeed and reach their potential, to have high self-esteem and a belief that they can achieve.

We are looking for an HLTA to join our nurturing provision, to work 31.25 hours a week, term time only on a fixed term basis until 23rd July 2020. The successful applicant must have completed TIS 10-day diploma and awareness and have experience of delivering in a nurturing provision. They will also be collaborative, flexible and have a responsive approach to supporting children with complex SEND and SEMH needs. They will able to form trusting and consistent, relationships with children for whom this is a difficulty and be a role model of empathic support for children, consolidating this ethos and tone across the whole school. Also have the ability to develop a structured, supportive environment delivering sensory, social and emotionally attuned daily provision and experience of supporting children across the full primary age range in order to ensure curriculum learning is age appropriate.
